Goulburn Health Hub Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice, some of the doctor’s bulk bill patients and others mix bill patients and for patients who are privately billed fees are payable at the time of consultation.

Patients who aren’t eligible for a bulk billed appointment are informed of the fee when booking their appointment either online, over the phone or at the reception desk.

Refunds from Medicare are available via:

Easyclaim – the refund is deposited instantly into a cheque or savings account via an EFTPOS card with a PIN.

  • Payments can be taken from any account but refunds cannot be made to a Credit account

Registered Account – the refund is deposited directly into the patient’s nominated account.

Please present your Medicare and any Concession cards when you attend your appointment.

The following exceptions apply whereby patients will be bulk billed – this is where the GP accepts the Medicare refund as whole payment for service instead of the full private fee.

  1. Children under 16 years will be bulk billed for standard consultations.
  2. Eligible Concession card holders (DVA, Pension, Healthcare Card or Centrelink Seniors Card) are bulk billed.
  3. Patients attending for preventative health care services related to chronic conditions. E.g., Chronic Disease Care Plans and Reviews

Dr Safaei, Dr Khan, Dr St Croix, Dr Nisha and Dr Saeid are bulk billing doctors but there are fees for procedures and driver medicals. It is practice policy to charge ALL patients who extend a standard consult to a long consult by raising multiple health issues. This is the only way we can ensure that every patient is allocated a reasonable amount of time with the GP.

If an account remains unpaid after 90 days from the date of service, this will be referred to a debt collector and further appointments will not be booked until the account is cleared.
