Dr Abdolhay Farivar is a Consultant Rheumatologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of musculoskeletal, autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.
Dr Farivar completed his specialist rheumatology training and academic appointments overseas before continuing his professional development in Australia. He worked at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney through specialist training and peer review programs and is now a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Rheumatology.
He has extensive experience in the management of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, lupus, Sjögren’s syndrome, vasculitis and other connective tissue diseases. He also has a strong interest in the assessment of complex musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain disorders.
Dr Farivar is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate and patient-centred care. He believes in working closely with patients, general practitioners and allied health professionals to develop personalised treatment plans that improve quality of life and long-term outcomes.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr Farivar has been involved in medical education, clinical research and the training of junior doctors and medical students.
