Dr Fiona Mitchell

Dr Fiona Mitchell became a Specialist Paediatrician in 2004 and has extensive hands on and
referral management of paediatric patients.

Dr Fiona Mitchell graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1994, completed her Diploma of
Paediatrics at Sydney Children’s Hospital in 1999 and completed Human Genetics Theory at The
Children’s Hospital Westmead and the Macquarie University in 2002. Fiona joins the Goulburn
Health Hub in 2025 with 30 years’ experience in the NSW public health system.
Dr Mitchell’s special interests lie in infants and children from birth to 4 years old, especially “The
fourth trimester”, the first three to four months after a baby is born, a period of intense adjustment
for both the baby and the parents. She enjoys helping parents manage this intense time, with so
many new challenges including, feeding, growth, head shape, early milestones and settling
techniques.
