 Dr John Ramachandran, MBBS, FRACP,  Cardiologist

Dr. Ramachandran is a consultant cardiologist dedicated to individualized, patient-centered care using the latest in diagnostic and evidence-based treatments.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Western Sydney, he underwent rigorous training in general and advanced cardiology at Liverpool Hospital and has held locum staff specialist roles at both Bankstown and Liverpool Hospitals.

He has a strong interest in complex valvular disease and congenital cardiology. Dr. Ramachandran is also deeply committed to medical education, mentoring students and trainees across all levels. He see’s patients 17 years and older

Dr Joseph Assad, MBBS. MSc Internal medicine, FRACP, Cardiologist

Dr Joseph Assad is a consultant cardiologist with an interest in heart rhythm disorders, cardiac devices and heart failure.

He holds current appointments at Liverpool Hospital and Sydney South West Private Hospital.

Joseph is highly proficient in the diagnosis and management of all cardiac conditions, with a particular interest in: Heart rhythm disorders; Chest pain and coronary artery disease; Shortness of breath; heart failure; Preventative health and risk factor modification; Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment; syncope and collapse and Pacemakers and Defibrillators.

Dr. Patrick Pender, MBBS, MSc Internal Medicine (Hons), FRACP, Specialist Interventional Cardiologist

Dr. Patrick Pender consults fortnightly at Goulburn Health Hub, offering expert care in both general and interventional cardiology. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Sydney and earned a Master of Internal Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with honors. His postgraduate journey continued at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, where he completed his basic physician training and specialty in cardiology.

Following his general cardiology training, Dr. Pender undertook further subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology. This included a two-year fellowship at Liverpool Hospital and additional international fellowships at Manchester Foundation Trust, UK, as part of the ANZET-CSANZ Fellowship program.

Dr. Pender's practice covers all facets of Adult Cardiology, including chest pain assessment, management of complex valvular heart disease, atrial fibrillation, and preventative health in coronary artery disease. As an interventional cardiologist, he has a particular interest in acute coronary syndromes, stent platforms, intracoronary imaging, and physiology-guided Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI).

Welcoming patients aged 17 years or older, Dr. Pender is dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes and improving quality of life through tailored, state-of-the-art cardiac care. He develops close relationships with referring GPs to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Pender holds current appointments at Liverpool Public Hospital and Sydney South West Private Hospital.
